4Frustration to AddictionJan 07, 2009
I was very frustrated by my iPod Touch (1st Generation) when I first received it. It froze up constantly while online, and I could not get apps for it. Then I learned that a $10. download would upgrade it to fix both problems. After two days of constantly trying to download the purchased upgrade, I was finally successful.

I love this thing! There is so much free stuff in the apps store. I can read free novels and play free games like crazy!

The real reason I wanted the Ipod Touch was to load my art photographs on it so I could review them and show them to interested people. I think Apple could find a better way to organize photos on the iPod. The music organization is lacking, too. I have music on three computers at home, but I can only access music through iTunes on one designated computer. I think the iPod Touch is fantastic, but the software is lacking. Now let me get back to my iPod. I have a novel to finish, photos to enjoy, games to play, and music to hear.

2Great--If you do not own a PCJan 07, 2009
I bought a iTouch six months ago. It is like having a perfect wife (or husband) except real communication is impossible.

All of the applications, sleek case and artful screens are marvelous.

BUT, I own a PC and getting dependable communication with it is very difficult. Manually checking is a pain taking me back 20 years.

And asking for assistance, by phone, e-mail or the e-site is fruitless.

So this is not a phone and not a PDA that is practical for anyone out of his home at any time and who owns a PC.

Good looks only go so far.

5Great product!Jan 06, 2009
This product has changed my life. I'm writing this review while sitting on my couch far away from my computer. The wifi Internet access and You Tube player are awesome. Great sound quality for music and good picture for downloaded movies and tv shows. My husband has all our investments and stocks tracking on the Touch as well. Highly recommended!

4Good bargainJan 06, 2009
It's a good buy if you have wifi access most of the time otherwise consider buying just a mp3 player.

5Fun but...Jan 06, 2009
I love the features and the advantages of the 2nd gen but they weren't worth another $100 to me. I got this on Black Friday for $199.99 which made the decision to buy much easier. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi went out after the 1st day so had to send it back to Apple. It takes a few days to get that going but I did get a replacement in working condition and no more problems. Make sure you check out the FREE apps at iTunes - love the "allrecipes.com" app that makes deciding what's for dinner a game. The iTouch has made me decide that I will upgrade to an iPhone after my current contract expires. I might even be nice and give my sister the iTouch so she can play with the recipe selector too!
